This game could be a lot more fun if it was a war game. Instead, it is a game of recycling castles that inactive players have left behind. I bet if you took a survey of all active players, and asked them, "How many of the last 10 castles you captured on Server X was part of a recycling effort?", the number would be high. The developers need to allow a way for players to leave the game gracefully, with the option of turning their castles into free castles. To discourage rash decision-making, you could allow players a 2-week window to come back if they want to. But this does not put them in vacation mode. This simply gets the clock ticking, and at the end of the clock, all castles become free castles again, and the player is deleted from the database. This would allow the game to become what it should be. A game focused on war and diplomacy.
