Locating another player

I'm new to the game. How do I find another player that's already been here for awhile?

With iPhone at least. Profile > position in rankings > scroll all the way up and you will see a search box
On non iOS not sure but might be similar

On my android I do the same except there is a magnifying glass that to tap to search.

Have you already updated to the latest version?
It might solve the loading problem, however if you should experience serious performance issues i can recommend to contact the support team.
