Long Building Upgrade Times

Why does it take way longer to upgrade buildings that the given time? It will say 30 minutes before you click the button but show 2 hours in queue.

I just upgraded a farm. It said 18:29 in the upgrade window but 2:50:00 after is starts upgrading.

this is because you can not upgrade and recruite simultaneously, so the time will stack up!

Only one building can be upgraded at a time, so when you click to upgrade the second building, you're putting it in a quene. When the first building is completed the second building will begin.
