Castle reservations feature

Castle reservations feature

Postby Naugrimm » Fri Apr 04, 2014 8:06 am

Dear community,

We have implemented the feature for the reservation of castles with the last update.

This should make the communication and the coordination easier inside your alliance, by offering you the opportunity to ask your alliance leader for any castle and have this request visible for all members.

To reserve a castle, select the one you wish to reserve and press the "reserve a castle" button on the overall view. Then you have sent a request for the castle in its general view. You have the option of withdrawing your request for this castle at any time by simply pressing the button again.

Any castle can be requested by more than one player. Possible requests from other players will be displayed beneath the button. If a request for this castle is confirmed, this will be displayed beneath that button, to indicate that there is an active reservation, it's duration is also shown. Any other requests already sent will be deleted though new ones can be sent if the current request runs out or is deleted, by someone with the appropriate rights.

Both the settings and an overview of this function can be found in the alliance profile, under the "reservation of a castle" point. The numbers over there give you a direct information about the about both the number of requests opened and the number of requests confirmed. Any players with the "Diplomacy" rights can manage these requests. The settings allow these players to set both the duration of a reservation and the maximum number of requests per player.

If a player leaves the alliance, his requests and reservations will automatically be deleted. The status of a particular castle in terms of reservations and requests is also displayed on the strategic map with the help of different symbols.

Please keep in mind that this is purely an informative feature. It doesn't prevent the reserved castle from being attacked or captured by other players, even those from the same alliance!

We wish you lots of fun with the new feature!
Your Lords & Knights team

Currently this feature is only available on some servers and we are collecting all of your feedback.

Once that is done, we will enable this feature (maybe with minor/some adjustments) on all servers.

So please feel free to share your feedback with us :)

This is working great so far. Although it could ruin someone's day if a noob was stupid to reserve their next war cap.
