What do they actually do? I've run a few tests and see no difference.

I've already read all of information provided in those links, yet I still see no difference in what happens in battle rounds.

As I've said, I've ran numerous tests with varying factors with help from my alliance brothers and sisters and see no discernible difference that these siege weapons bring to the game.

We've run 101, 110, 120 trickles with varying attacking combinations including berserkers, single type of attack troop e.g. Lancers with towers and the only losses are 50% of defence troops.....no difference.

Same here. Tried them in a real attack: enemy lost as usual half of his units per round. Trying to understand the use of these new units...

This doesnt result in the defender losing more troops each battle round, it results in you losing less troops each battle round:

eg simple example

without siege:
att 10000 -> 5000
def 6000 -> 3000

with siege:
att 10000 -> 5500
def 6000 -> 3000

more attacker troops survived the battle round.

Numbers are not accurate- just made up to make a point.

Thanks

The impression when looking at the faqs regarding siege weapons have left a lot thinking that when used they'd kill off more support than usual.
