sync attack

On 3-20-2014 I picked a castle to cap. I launched from one of my furthest castles to set up sync due toI needed 23k silver to cap. I clicked sync and started sending troops. This mmorning when I checked on my castles it showed a report that one ofmy closest ccastles had attacked. Therefore I lost 23k silver and waisted my time.
Why would the game glitch and cause this?
Ive also had troops being built before and tbe next morning they should be done but they are only 3/4 done.
