Android phone wont vibrate

I am still waiting on support to email me back, not real happy. Ill try here. I cannot get my s1 or s3 to vibrate when I get attacked or get a new message. I only get the small icon up the top of my phone. I used to have it working a long time go, but with all the new patches this function no longer works. Any ideas? Ive tried my phone settings and the settings in the profile/game options area. Can any other s1 or s3 person get their phone to vibrate when they get attacked?
