Vacation Mode Question

I've been watching a player that insulted our alliance on USA 5. When we went to reset him, he ran into VM. That was on March 18. Today is exactly 42 days later and he's still in VM. The ? on the VM button says that a player only has 42 days of vacation a year in order to prevent abuse of the feature. Why is this player not out of VM yet?

Last I heard it's 44 days and not 42. Can't say for sure since I've never used it

It's 42, says so on the help option for it. He's out of it now. It just took several hours longer than I expected.

It's 42 days. VM is reset on ones anniversary date also and not calendar year, so if someone started playing say on June 1, 2013, their VM would be reset to 42 days on June 2, 2014.
